Culture Team
The Culture Team is a cross-functional group of employees who ensure our commitment to our cultural values as we grow. They steward programs that actively engage and motivate employees and keep a pulse on our culture. Culture Team members embody our cultural values and promote culture programs within their departments.
Learning & Development
We aim to provide valuable and engaging training opportunities, for our employees to develop both technical and professional skills to advance their careers. Through our learning and development program, we focus on providing the education and resources for employees in leadership development, personal development, technical development and new hire on boarding.
Recognition and Awards
We support and recognize our employees who foster the spirit and culture of Aji Bio-Pharma. We recognize our cultural champions who demonstrate strong customer focus, are innovative, always accountable, put compliance at the forefront, communicates with respect, and supports others through strong teamwork. We also recognize employees how embody our safety first philosophy and those who contribute to innovating and strategic thinking in operational excellence. We reach out Safety & OE champion titles, green and yellow belt certificates.
Engagement Program
Yearly, we survey our employees about main topics such as leadership, performance, reward and development, communication, wellbeing and ethics. After analyzing the employees’ needs, we define an engagement action program to further improve their job experience.
Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value
As part of the Ajinomoto Group, each Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services employee is accountable for upholding the Ajinomoto Group Policies (AGP) and following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. AGP applies to all of our activities and provides a written commitment to all of our stakeholders that we will uphold them.
Community Outreach
Giving back to the local community is a commitment and focus of Aji Bio-Pharma, with events and activities spread out through the year, allowing employees to connect with local organizations that are meaningful to them. We are also strong supporters of our local communities’ initiatives and programs, which aim to improve the health of humankind.
Pedal the Cause
Since 2016, the Aji Bio-Pharma US team has participated in and sponsored Padres Pedal the Cause, a cycling and 5K run/walk event to fund life-saving cancer research in San Diego.
Words Alive
Aji Bio-Pharma US ran a 2020 summer reading book drive in partnership with Words Alive, collecting books in person as well as providing an option for online donations. The team collected 656 books in one month to support at home and group reading programs.
Annual Charity Connection
Aji Bio-Pharma US hosts an annual charity connection, welcoming local organizations to campus to help connect our team with a variety of individual volunteer opportunities.
The Warmest Pancake Bake
The Warmest week is a Belgian initiative to support local charity organizations. Each December, Aji Bio-Pharma Belgium employees organize a 24-hour pancake bake at our sites. The yield is doubled by Aji Bio-Pharma and spent on local initiatives, as the training of assistance dogs, wheelchair gym, a care farm for patients and their family.
Homaar
Aji Bio-Pharma Belgium is sponsoring their Homaar, which welcomes adolescents between the ages of 15 and 23 years, who struggle mentally with their daily life. Offering weekly programs, movement workshops and visual therapy, they aim to prevent young people from being admitted to mental institutions by helping them find the right track in their quest for identity and psychological well-being.
Green Planting
Since 2015, Aji Bio-Pharma India has participated in an environment development program by planting 4600 avenue and fruit bearing plants around the site and co-developing the flora and fauna of the area under ‘Vanam and Manam’ & ‘Green Visakha’ programs.
